Nanki Shirahama is Wakayama’s representative tourist destination. The area’s rich natural attractions include Shirarahama, one of the most attractive beaches in Japan, as well as one of the top three hot springs in the country. It also features numerous tourist facilities and scenic spots, such as Adventure World – home to Japan’s largest population of pandas – and the Sandanbeki cliffs. The area is also not far from the World Heritage Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Routes.
Fukuju is located right in the center of the Nanki Shirahama area.
